The aim of the course is to gain a deeper understanding of the past through political, social, economic, and cultural perspectives. What interests should you have? Throughout the course, you will acquire the knowledge and skills to analyze and evaluate sources, interpret historical events, and understand the significance of this on the period studied. What will the course cover? There are two specific time periods that you study in History: The Tudors and Germany. This course will study in breadth, issues of change, continuity, cause, and consequence in this period.
The minimum course entry requirement to follow a Level 3 programme is five 9-4 GCSEs. Grade 5 in History Grade 5 in English.
Exam one 40% (80 marks). Exam two 40% (80 marks). Non-exam assessment 20% (40 marks).
