The written exam will account for 35% of the final assessment. Paper 2 candidates will be assessed on the analysis of media products with reference to the Close Study Products (CSPs) and other products. They will need to show an understanding of the contexts in which the products were created. For the Non-exam media assessment: Media project candidates will be assessed on the application of knowledge and understanding of the theoretical framework and practical skills relating to the media format of their choice, from a selection. In all A-level units, candidates should look at cross-cultural factors and the effects of globalization on the media, where appropriate.
