Course summary

Why do we need precision and accuracy and why is that important for future engineers and physicists? Discover a range of new and exciting particles, their various uses in modern technology and about the weirdness of the quantum world. Can matter travel in waves? How does the technology that underpins cloaking work? Answer these questions by studying the behaviour of a variety of different waves. Are there materials strong enough to build a tower into space? You will study the behaviour of solid materials and be able to describe their motion to make predictions.

Entry requirements

Students must achieve at least grade 6/6 Combined Science or grade 6 in GCSE Physics. Students should also achieve at least a grade 6 in GCSE Mathematics.
