5 Grade 9-4 in GCSE subjects. GCSE Trilogy Grade 7/7 or Triple Grade 7 and a Grade 7 in Mathematics. Students with a near miss in Mathematics at Grade 6 will be considered if their score on the GCSE Examination is within 5% of Grade 7.
Paper 1- Content from Modules 1 to 4 Short and longer answer questions.(2 hours written exam 35%) Paper 2- Structured questions and extended response questions, covering theory and practical skills. Assesses content from modules 5 to 8. (2 hours written exam 35%) Paper 3- Structured questions and extended response questions, covering theory and practical skills. Essay question Assesses content from modules 1 to 8. (2 hours written exam 30%) Non-exam assessment - Practical endorsement for biology. Candidates complete a minimum of 12 practical activities to demonstrate competence. Performance is then reported separately to the A Level grade (Non-exam Reported separately)
