Course summary

Any Physics qualification is held in high regard by universities and industry and will be accepted by them for any science or engineering courses or apprenticeships. As you progress through the course you will build on your knowledge of the laws of Physics, applying your understanding to solve problems on topics ranging from sub-atomic particles to the entire Universe. Module 1 Development of Practical Skills in Physics. Module 2 Foundations in Physics Module 3 Forces and Motion. Module 4 Electrons, Waves and Photons Module 5 Newtonian World and Astrophysics. Module 6 Fields, Particles, and Frontiers of Physics. This course requires a substantial amount of independent study & consolidation of classwork. Physics is a highly academic subject & is only suitable for those who can sustain dedication & self-motivation throughout. Skills developed throughout include the knowledge & understanding of many physical facts & ideas, the use of practical techniques, and the designing of experiments; all of which will be assessed within the exams. Maths skills are required throughout & are also included in the written exams.
