We provide photographic equipment for the students to use, including digital SLR cameras and full photographic studio. The course allows freedom for students to pursue a variety of different avenues within a structure of an A Level examination. Students study an area of personal interest in their coursework portfolio and then an externally assessed project in the Spring term of Year 2. The second year has a requirement to write an essay of 1500 - 3000 words based arounda chosen theme. Photography will allow students to pursue a career in the arts, graphics, media and ICT. It will link into many university courses and the students develop a portfolio that will support their vocational goals.
5 x GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, plus either a Grade 6 in GCSE ART or a portfolio of photographs
