The Nature of Law and the Legal System, Substantive Law in Practice, Perspectives of Substantive Law. The specification further develops knowledge of the legal system and of substantive law through criminal law and civil law. Evaluation of the concepts of law continues to be developed at this level of study. You will also specialise in developing their application and analysis skills in specific topics such as homicide [murder / manslaughter]; tort law such as Occupiers Liability and negligence. With over 20 years experience of teaching Law at A Level standard, complemented with work in the industry working as a solicitor practising in criminal law which supports the required content of the A Level course. Staff experience of A Level law, Degree Level and the requirements of the Industry are able to support students on the A Level course and those who wish to pursue a career in law. Students need to manage their time effectively and take on a degree of responsibility for their learning.
