Course summary

Component 1:- Social Influence, Memory, Attachment, Psychopathology. Component 2:- Approaches in Psychology, Biopsychology, Research Methods. Component 3:- Issues and Debates in Psychology Option 1: - Relationships Option 2: Schizophrenia Option 3: Forensic Psychology The first year will help you to develop your understanding of psychology as a science: the use of scientific research methods to develop theories to explain human behaviour. You will learn how to evaluate evidence and draw conclusions from a detailed knowledge of research. You will build on the skills and knowledge learned in Year 1 to understand both topics and issues and debates in psychology in more depth in Year 2.

Entry requirements

English - 5, Maths - 5, 3 additional Grade 4's

How you'll be assessed

It is a two year linear course. Each of the 3 components is assessed with a 2 hour examination.
