Students must achieve 4 GCSE grades 9-6 and 7 GCSE grades 9-4 (Maths and English grade 5) Students must achieve GCSE grade 7 in Chemistry (Triple Science) or grade 77 in Combined Science and must be confident in planning, carrying out and analyzing practical investigations.
Paper 1: Inorganic Chemistry - written examination, 37% of qualification. Paper 2: Organic Chemistry - written examination, 37% of qualification. Paper 3: Unified Chemistry - written examination, 26% of qualification. Practical skills are assessed throughout the course.
