Course summary

The course includes lecture style sessions, group work, research projects and individual assignments. Real world scenarios are embedded into the course to allow students to understand current trends and changes in the sector. WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN: Human lifespan development, what working in health and social care entails, meeting individual care and support needs and physiological disorders. PROGRESSION ROUTES: Employment within the healthcare sector, or progression to higher education, including courses in nursing (adult, child or mental health), paramedic science, social work, occupational therapy, operating department practitioner, midwifery or primary education.
