Students will develop both analytical and production skills in media. Students have the opportunity to study a range of media texts ranging from film, magazine, newspapers, social media, music videos and gaming. They will study these in relation to media terminology, representation, institutions and audiences, as well as looking at how media evolves over time and globally. There is the opportunity for practical production work which will allow students to produce, edit and market their own production with opportunities to develop their skills in print, online, radio, TV and film.
This course is open to students who have achieved a grade 5 in Media or Film or a grade 5 in English Language or a grade 6 in Art or Photography.
