Covering practical and theoretical concepts to begin a career as an engineer. This programme is a general engineering programme with a focus on mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering to give you a clear understanding of the engineering industry. You will study: • Machining Techniques • Design and Draughting • Engineering Science • Maths Alongside the programme you will gain valuable work experience in the engineering industry and boost your employability skills for the sector. On completion of the course you will gain the equivalent of three A-levels and the UCAS points to move into higher education. From here you can go on to study HNC/D Engineering, FdSc Engineering Technology, or a BEng (Hons) Engineering Technology, to become an engineering technician, maintenance technician, design draughts person, or project engineer.
4 x GCSEs at grade 4(C) or above, including Maths, English and Science.
