Course summary

Physics plays an enormous role in our understanding of why many of the processes we see on Earth (and beyond) occur. It gives us an insight into both the benefits and risks of many physical processes, such as radioactivity and electricity. However, it also enables students to express their mathematical understanding of concepts such as forces, cosmology and quantum theory. As with any A Level science course, practical work forms a large part of our lesson time at this level. However, this is not assessed as a separate unit, but incorporated into the written examinations.
