Aggression (A level only) - Neural and hormonal mechanisms in aggression & the ethological explanation of aggression. - Explanations of human aggression—evolutionary and social. - Institutional aggression in the context of prisons & media influences on aggression.

Entry requirements

6.5 Average Points Score across all GCSEs (minimum 8 GCSE qualifications). Grade 5 in GCSE Maths and English Language. Subject Entry Criteria: Grade 7 in GCSE Psychology (or GCSE Biology/Combined Science if not studied)

How you'll be assessed

PAPER 1: Written examination (2 hours)—33.3% of the A level grade - Questions will be on social influence, memory, attachment and psychopathology.
