For students interested in a career in theatre, film, television, production and entertainment but also for students who wish to build confidence, team working skills and develop upon previous experience. Specific performance techniques and team building, character driven approaches, vocal and movement work and improving confidence and presentation skills. The course is aimed at vocational study, preparing students to enter the arts industry and work place. All units require written portfolios and filmed workshop recordings that outline the learning process. Other units also include written examination and timed scheduled assessments set by the exam board. There are several performance examinations at different points during the course. Units studied may cross over and influence study across the units.
Prospective students should have studied Drama at GCSE or have an interest in the subject area. A minimum grade 4 in English Language is also recommended.
4 units with a shared practical and written focus, marked between Pass, Merit and Distinction over the two years.
