Students will extend their knowledge into areas of pure and decision maths as well as mechanics. In pure maths, students will be introduced to complex numbers, matrices and 3D vectors as well as solving differential equations and working with polar coordinates. In decision maths, students will apply different algorithms to find the shortest route around a network and solve linear programming problems. In mechanics, students will solve work, energy and power problems and apply Newton’s laws of motion in collisions.
This course is open to students who have achieved a grade 7 in GCSE Maths (Students must also choose A-Level Maths)
