Students will extend their knowledge into areas of pure maths, statistics and mechanics. In pure maths, students are introduced to calculus and algorithms as well as consolidating their application of algebraic manipulation and trigonometry. In statistics, students test hypotheses using the normal and binomialdistributions, solve probability problems and represent data. In mechanics, students resolve forces, apply Newton’s laws of motion and find the centre of mass of an object.
This course is open to students who have achieved a grade 6 in GCSE Maths.
