Business Studies:Single
Course summary
Year one of course covers the principles of business, leadership and decision-making within financial, marketing, operations and human resource functions. In the second year, we further explore business strategy and the impact of the external environment. Three two-hour exams will be taken at the end of Year 13. The first two papers are on specific themes within the syllabus, and the final paper covers the whole specification and is based on a pre-released case study. Many students join the Young Enterprise scheme, enabling them to collaborate with students from other schools to form a company, to market a product and generate a profit. You will develop the skills needed for analysing information, problem solving, decision-making, planning and essay writing.
