This course is designed for those who are interested in why some people are more likely to commit or be victims of crime than others, how criminals can be rehabilitated, and the role of the criminal justice system. This one-year introductory course enables you to combine a study of criminology, law and policing providing you with the knowledge and skills you need to enter the criminal justice sector – from policing and investigation to law and government.
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 and above, including in English language and Maths, or a Level 2 Diploma at Distinction grade and English language and Maths grade 4 or above.
Throughout the course, you are continuously assessed using a variety of methods, e.g. controlled internal assignments, external assessments, portfolio work, synoptic assessment etc.
