This study programme is designed to give you the skills required for a career in business with a strong focus on accountancy-based roles. In year one you will complete an AAT Advanced Certificate in Bookkeeping and an Extended Certificate in Business. On successful completion of the first year, you will be able to continue on to an AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting and a Diploma in Business. If you complete both years of the study programme it is equivalent to 3 A-Levels and attracts UCAS points to progress on to University.
5 GCSEs Grade 4 or above (A*-C) including GCSE maths and English or an appropriate level 2 qualification (at a merit if graded) and a satisfactory school report. For this programme your maths grade must be grade 5 or above. We will request a school or college report and you will attend an interview at the college.
For the Extended Certificate in Business, you will be required to undertake two externally set and assessed exams (Finance and Marketing) and then there are two further assignment-based modules. The AAT Advanced Certificate in Bookkeeping and the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting are all externally assessed through a number of external exams.
