During the course students will explore the following aspects of theatre, theatre practitioners, plays and contrasting styles and genres. This is a vibrant, energetic, enjoyable and challenging course. The course is complimented by a programme of live theatre— London’s West End, Stratford and Curve. Students can expect to analyse and research a wide range of plays. The course involves working collaboratively and creatively in practical work and performances.
A Level Study: To join the Sixth Form there is an entry criteria of five standard passes at GCSE (at least a Grade 4). This must include at least a Grade 4 in English Language and Maths at GCSE. Students will need to gain at least a Grade 4 in the subjects they would like to study at A Level. For biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, English literature, French, further maths, maths there are additional subject requirements, which are available upon request.
The course is assessed through 60% practical coursework and 40% external written exam.
