We have increased awareness of social issues as the world is under the microscope of social media. Sociology does not offer a complete answer but seeks to provide students with tools to begin to understand the social mechanics of our extraordinary lives. An A-level Sociology classroom offers you the opportunity to explore your views and understanding with informed discussion from the forefront of social research whilst drawing on the knowledge from founding theorists. We cannot only consider the traditional works of writers but also how their ideas translate into modern-day injustices.
