Health and Social Care is the study of people and factors that influence health and development. Students will develop an understanding of development, how care values are used and the impact disease and illness can have on people. This subject is for those students who are interested in people and how as a society we support individual’s rights in every stage of their lives.
A Level Study: To join the Sixth Form there is an entry criteria of five standard passes at GCSE (at least a Grade 4). This must include at least a Grade 4 in English Language and Maths at GCSE. Students will need to gain at least a Grade 4 in the subjects they would like to study at A Level. For biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, English literature, French, further maths, maths there are additional subject requirements, which are available upon request.
