Course summary

We offer a wide range of courses giving you a broad range of education and training in key areas such as Mechanical, Production, Electrical and Maintenance Engineering, Electrical Installations, Electronics, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Rapid Prototyping Technology, Welding and Robotics. You will be taught by staff with extensive industrial experience in their chosen fields in a wide range of facilities including Mechanical, Maintenance and Electrical Engineering workshops. This Level 3 Engineering course will all prepare you for a career in the industry and will teach you the skills and knowledge you need for a hands-on profession. Units covered include: • Engineering principles • Delivery of engineering processes safely as a team • Engineering product design & manufacture • Applied commercial & quality principles in engineering • Work experience in the engineering sector • Electronic devices & circuits • Maintenance of mechanical system PROGRESSION On successful completion of the Level 3 course, there is the opportunity to progress to the HNC/HND Engineering course here at Grantham College or apply for a University Undergraduate course.
