Paper 1 – Breadth Study: ‘The Tudors: England, 1485-1603’. Written examination: 2 hours 30 minutes. 40% of A-Level (80 marks) Paper 2 – Depth Study: Revolution and Dictatorship: Russia 1917-1953’. Written examination: 2 hours 30 minutes. 40% of A -Level (80 marks) Historical Investigation (Non-Examined Assessment). A personal study based on a topic of the student's choice. This should take the form of a question in the context of approximately 100 years. 3,500-4,500 words. Teacher-marked and moderated by AQA. 20% of A-Level (40 marks)
