Course summary

Studying PE at the West Bridgford School encourages students to immerse themselves in the world of sports and PE with the chance to perform or coach a sport (through the non-exam assessment component), and delve into the how and why of physical activity and sport. Studying PE at GCSE is desirable though not essential. Any information that you need will be taught to you. A positive, motivated, independent attitude is required The West Bridgford School now has some of the best PE facilities of any school. As well as our Gym, Sports Hall, Swimming Pool, Netball/Tennis Courts and Grass Pitches, we now have a purpose-built Dance Studio, Fitness Suite and classroom. This enables us to offer a wider range of practical activities and in so doing allow students to achieve higher grades. A Level PE allows learners to study in an academic setting, enabling them to critically analyze and evaluate their physical performance and apply their experience of practical activities in developing their knowledge and understanding of the subject.
