Course summary

This course covers many aspects of both human and physical geography throughout the two years. A Level students will take two exams both of which are two and a half hours long. Students at A Level will also submit a 3000-4000 word report based on fieldwork investigations. Physical Geography Section A: Water and carbon cycles Section B: Coastal systems and landscapes Section C: Hazards Human Geography Section A: Global systems and global governance Section B: Changing places Section C: Contemporary urban issues OR Population and the environment OR Resource security Fieldwork Investigation 3,000-4,000 word report based on at least four days of fieldwork investigation. Fieldwork is integrated into the course and students undertake residential and local field visits.

Entry requirements

Students should achieve at least a grade 6 in Geography.
