Year 1 Assessment As the course involves linear assessment, there is no external examination at the end of year 12. Instead, there is an internally set mock examination, which will cover material from the first 2 papers. The grade for this mock examination is used to both decide progression to year 2 of the course and to predict grades for UCAS applications Year 2 Assessment Paper 1: Assessed written exam: 2 hours 96 marks in total 33.3% of A-level Paper 2: Assessed written exam: 2 hours 96 marks in total 33.3% of A-level Paper 3: Assessed written exam: 2 hours 96 marks in total 33.3% of A-level These Papers cover the full scope of the content with extended writing being assessed in paper 3.
