You will engage with the world of business through the context of current businesses and developments. Students will learn how to manage, lead and operate a successful business, covering a range of topics from the list below: • Exploring Business • Developing a Marketing Campaign • Personal and Business Finance • Managing an Event • International Business • Principles of Management • Recruitment and Selection Process • Visual Merchandising The Diploma will cover eight units.
Students should achieve at least a grade 4 both in English and Maths.
External tasks are made up of both examinations and set tasks: • Examinations – students take the same assessment at the same time. • Set tasks – students take the assessment during a defined window and demonstrate understanding through the completion of a vocational task. Internal tasks are more coursework-based. Students could be given the opportunity to: • Write up the findings of their research. • Use case studies to explore complex or unfamiliar situations. • Demonstrate practical and communication skills using appropriate presentations.
