The BTEC Extended Certificate is a vocational course for learners who are interested in learning about all aspects of business. It is designed to be taken as part of a program of study that includes other appropriate BTECs or A Levels. The full certificate is equivalent to one A Level. BTEC Business is a nationally recognized, rigorous qualification that would appeal to anyone who has an interest in current affairs and the world of work.
Achieve five grade 4s or above including English Language and Mathematics. Grade 5 or above in English Language Grade 5 or above in Mathematics. Students do not have to have studied a level 2 business qualification.
There are 3 mandatory units, 1 is an internally assessed portfolio, 1 is an externally assessed task and 1 is a written examination. The optional unit is an internally assessed portfolio.
