This qualification aims to provide an introduction to study of the sector. It supports access to a range of higher education courses, possibly in the health and social care sector or teaching. Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Health & Social Care. This is the equivalent of 1 A Level. Health and Social Care lessons are taught using a wide range of active learning approaches including independent research and reporting, group activities and class discussion, as well as formal classroom-based activities and enrichment opportunities. This will enable learners to progress to a degree programme chosen from a range of programmes in the health and social care sector.
