Course summary

Biology aims to give students a thorough grounding in the essential concepts of Biology, and basic Biochemistry. This will give students the option to study associated disciplines at university or to go into industry. It is also intended to instill in students a love of the subject for itself and not just to see Biology as a stepping stone to another course. How you'll be assessed

60% of your final grade will come from your coursework on a personal investigation of a theme of your own choosing. The remaining 40% will be from an end-of-course externally set assignment that you will complete at the end of the course.
