
The topics and grammar build up from GCSE level. The topics are linked to countries where Spanish is spoken and includes aspects of history, geography, the arts, business and social studies. There will be a grammar lesson every week which will develop students’ understanding of the language further, clarifying and developing points from the GCSE course.
Desirable grade 6 in GCSE Spanish.
Paper 1: Listening, Reading and Writing (50% of A-level). Paper 2: Writing (20% of A-level) based on the study of a film and a book. Paper 3: Speaking (30% of A-level). The exam consists of two parts: a discussion based on a stimulus card (5–6 minutes) and a presentation (2minutes) and discussion (9-10 minutes) of an individual research project.
