Four GCSEs at grade 3 including English and maths. Alternatively - Pass grade in a related Level 1 qualification and GCSE English and maths at grade 3.
There is continuous assessment of practical work. The theory element of the course is by written portfolio. Evidence must be gathered during the year to satisfy both tutor and external moderator.
