Course summary

It is impossible to avoid religion and ethics in our ever changing world. Religion impacts on everyday life and ethics, our everyday decisions. Both universities and employers are aware that students of Religious Education have developed and are able to utilise skills that can be applied to different situations. They know that you: - Are able to formulate an opinion and present it accurately and fully. - Are able to discuss and debate ideas on ethical and moral issues. - Are aware and can understand different religious viewpoints and form balanced judgements on religious issues.

Entry requirements

Grade 6 or above in GCSE English Language and a Grade 5 in a Humanities subject. No prior knowledge of Religious Studies is required. However, the opportunity is provided for candidates who have studied Religious Studies at GCSE (either as a Full or Short Course) to build on knowledge, understanding and skills gained at that level.

How you'll be assessed

Students will take 3 examinations at A Level with each examination having equal weighting of 33.3% each.
