Physics is the study of the Universe, its laws and properties. Students will explore concepts in mechanics, electricity, energy, materials, fields, quantum theory, waves, and nuclear and particle physics during the two-year course. Concepts are explored both theoretically using mathematics and experimentally through numerous practicals and demonstrations.
Essential Minimum GCSE: Grade 6 in any of the following GCSEs: Biology/Chemistry/ Physics or Double Science Desirable GCSE: Grade 6 Mathematics
Assessment takes place in the form of 3 written papers at the end of Year 13.
