Fine Art is a two-year course that allows you to explore the breadth of possibilities of painting, printmaking, and sculpture in art disciplines and go deeper into preferred specialisms as your time on the course progresses. During the course, you will explore ideas and respond to briefs through a range of workshops and projects, where you will gain skills and build a portfolio in Fine Art, Graphic Design, Photography, 3D, and Textile endorsements. You will use appropriate drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and moving images to express ideas and find solutions to problems.
GCSE Art & Design grade 7 or above (or equivalent) and appropriate portfolio of evidence.
● AQA Art, Craft, and Design will be initially studied. The specialism may alter to suit the group's skill sets. ● Linear A level consisting of; Personal Investigation (01) = 60% of total A level Externally set task (02) = 40 % of total A-level ● Skills required to achieve assessment objectives include personal research, critical thinking, investigation, experimentation, and the ability to sustain a personal and coherent response. Students will be expected to visit a variety of galleries and exhibitions as part of their ongoing artistic development.
