The topics in Modern Foreign Languages are chosen to appeal to young people. Our aim is to stimulate interest and discussion about issues and trends related to the target language-speaking countries and communities. These issues are varied and may be social, political, intellectual, and/or artistic in nature, but will always aim to develop a deeper understanding of the speakers’ cultures. You will of course be working with up-to-date materials including newspaper articles, magazines, and online publications. A structured program of grammar runs throughout the course, to enable you to produce accurate written and spoken language. In all three languages literature and film are key features of the A level.
