Course summary

Post 16 students wanting to continue their education through applied learning, and who aim to progress to higher education and ultimately to employment, possibly in the business sector. This UCAS points carrying qualification is equivalent to 1 A level and provides a coherent introduction to study of the business sector. Studied alongside other level 3 qualifications, it will support progression to employment after further study at university. However, it can also support students progressing to employment directly, or via an apprenticeship, giving students transferable knowledge, understanding and skills. Everyone taking this qualification will study three mandatory units: • Exploring the Business Environment • Developing a Marketing Campaign • Personal and Business Finance The optional unit covers: • Market Research
