Advances in computing are transforming the way we work and our computer science specifications have changed with the times. These specifications focus on the skills students need to progress to higher education or thrive in the workplace.
Paper 1 (40%) on-screen exam which tests the students ability to programme as well as their theoretical knowledge. Paper 2 (40%) written exam with short and extended answer questions. Non-exam assessment (20%) assesses the student’s ability to use the knowledge and skills gained through the course to solve or investigate a practical problem.
