Develop your skills in performing, choreography and appreciation: our dance curriculum includes classes in contemporary, jazz and ballet technique, composition, dance studio practice, and the analysis and evaluation of professional dance works. Dance complements courses within the performing arts as well as sports and life science. You will develop performance skills, both as a soloist and in a group. You will develop choreography skills , creating your own material in response to a stimulus and developing material through the knowledge and application of choreographic processes. You will develop evaluative skills and an appreciation of Dance as an art form. You will develop group skills and communication skills. You will develop research skills through looking at the work of key dance practitioners, their style and contribution to the dance canon, studying one of their key works in depth.
Five grades 4-9 (or equivalent) including grade 4 in English Language.
Examination = 100% (50% Practical, 50% Written)
