In Year 12 you will explore ways of working, materials and methods. You will gain skill and confidence in drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media and other ways of working. You will refer to the work of others and build your experience and confidence in managing self-directed work. Your Personal Investigation (Component 1) will begin in the spring terms, where you will be able to deepen your work in a personal and exploratory way to include a written element. Your work will reference and analyse the work of others to enable you to inform and develop your own practise. This will extend into Year 13. An externally set assignment (Component 2) is set in February of Y13 and will lead to a 15 hour controlled test.
To take three subjects at Post-16 you will need to have achieved 5-7 GCSEs at Grade 4/5 or above including Maths and English. You will be expected to have achieved at least a Grade 5 at GCSE for every subject you take at A Level.
