Content: Unit 1: Anatomy and Physiology. Unit 2: Fitness training and programming for health, sport, and well-being. Unit 3: Professional development in the sports industry. Unit 4: Sports leadership. Unit 7: Practical sports performance.
To study at The Cheadle Academy Sixth Form you must have achieved five good passes at GCSE including English and Maths. In addition to this, each subject has its own entry requirements as detailed below. Merit or above at BTEC Sport. Involvement in sport ran externally is desirable.
3 mandatory units (Units 1, 2, and 3). 1 Option unit from either Unit 4 or 7. Unit 1 – assessed externally via a 1.5-hour exam. Unit 2 – is assessed externally via a task set and marked by Pearson and completed under supervised conditions which is out of 60 marks. Units 3, 4, and 7 are assessed internally via practical / coursework assignments.
