Course summary

The benefit of studying Photography at A Level comes from the opportunity to spend an extended period exploring, experimenting, and learning about the subject in both a practical and theoretical context. Your portfolio will be the result of your independent photographic development, but you will also often work within a group environment. This will be with your peers who are on a similar journey as yourself, as well as people who are experienced and engaged with the creative world that you wish to enter. Furthermore, Photography offers you the chance to develop multiple transferable skills. For instance, the course will encourage you to establish yourself as a confident decision-maker, presenter, marketer and collaborator in preparation for university or the world of work.
