You will study three of the most important branches of philosophy: METAPHYSICS – the study of the ultimate nature of reality; EPISTEMOLOGY – the study of knowledge; and MORAL PHILOSOPHY – the study of how we should live and act (also referred to as ethics). Underpinning all of these branches is a fourth discipline, REASONING, which encompasses the skills of critical thinking, analysis and logic.
Grade 6 in a Humanities subject (RE, Geography, History) and grade 6 in English Literature.
Paper 1: 3 hours, 100 marks, 50%: Section 1 & 2 Paper 2: 3 hours, 100 marks, 50%: Section 3 & 4 Both papers sat in Year 13.
