There can be few subjects that are as useful to a student in their general life or have the variety of topics that Business offers. Students will study everything from management styles to personal finance and from how to set up your own business to international trade with China! In addition to hopefully gaining a qualification that helps the student get into university, what they learn will certainly be both practical and beneficial in life! Not a reason to study the course, but we attempt to offer a trip to New York every other year, purely to give our students a wonderful experience. Most students who take the course will go on to university and popular degrees related to the ‘A’ level are business management, accountancy, marketing, HR and international business. In addition, you might progress into a career in banking, sales, financial management, etc. and it should give you a really good grounding in running your own business or general business management. Finally, we are a dedicated team of teachers who will do our very best for all our students on the course.
You must have achieved 5 passes including mathematics and English, where a pass is defined as GCSE 9-4 and pass or better at level 2 BTEC. We would recommend a Grade 5 in Business along with a minimum Grade 5 in maths and English
The course will be assessed at the end of the course by 3 examinations.
