Students will build upon their GCSE knowledge and understanding of biology, chemistry and physics, by using their investigative skills to perform different scientific procedures across the three disciplines. Students will also study science in a real-world context, preparing them for future work in this area. Mandatory units: • Principles and applications of science • Practical scientific procedures and techniques • Science investigation skills Optional units: • Physiology of human body systems • Human regulation and reproduction • Genetics and genetic engineering
Grade 4 (or above) in GCSE Science, English and Maths
All elements of the course will be externally assessed through a combination of exams, case studies and projects.
