The English qualifications as a whole develop reading, writing, creativity, group work, individual research, oral skills, and conceptual and aesthetic discussion. English qualifications are useful for careers in the arts, media and journalism, teaching, law, and personnel functions. They also complement other subjects well where a balanced portfolio of personal skills and academic skills are required, for example, medicine, business, and languages.
