Course summary

This is a varied history course that covers some of the most important events and developments of the twentieth century, as well as encouraging the breadth of historical knowledge through the study of sixteenth-century Tudor history. The course helps to develop skills in questioning and critical analysis. Wider reading is vital and there is an opportunity for independent research as part of the coursework unit.

Entry requirements

Generally, students may be admitted providing they achieve at least Grade 4 in Mathematics and English Language and achieve a minimum of Grade 5 at GCSE in four subjects, only GCSE will be accepted, not other vocational equivalents.
