Course summary

This second A level in Maths is taken by students who have a strong interest in the subject. The extra content abounds with interesting and relevant material. Students usually find that A level maths becomes made easy because of the extra time they devote to the development of their mathematical skills. The extra work covered is also extremely useful for the higher education courses already mentioned. Students wishing to study Further Maths need to opt for both Maths and Further Maths, thus using up two of the four option lines.

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs Grade 9-5, including Maths and English. Grade 7 in GCSE Mathematics. A Grade 8 or 9 in GCSE Mathematics would be advantageous and would indicate a higher probability of being able to access the course.
